As Daniel Reed said, any information shared on new media is no longer private. An intimate family photo meant to be shared amongst connections can be copied and spread throughout the web. The photo can then be used by other people or organizations for their own personal agenda. Due to this fact, anybody posting information onto new media should consider the weight of their actions and the consequences.

ReplyDeleteThis is something important to consider when posting a photo, that it can be seen and used by others in ways not intended or wanted. I think that privacy settings are also something to be tied in with this topic because we can make it so it doesn't get spread too publicly, keeping it within our friend&family circle. How we can make people more aware of privacy settings on social media is another issue!
I agree. I think that people should consider what they are doing before posting anything. People still seem to forget to do that.
